Cipla offers bursaries for a wide range of fields, including Analytical Chemistry, Computer Science and Information Science, Digital Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Engineering (Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering), Economic Management Sciences (Accounting, Economics, Taxation), Environmental Science, Graphic Design, Industrial Psychology, Human Resources Management, Laws: Bachelor of (LLB), Microbiology, Biotechnology, Pharmacy: Bachelor of, and Supply Chain & Logistics Management.
Expenses Covered: The bursary covers the following expenses:
- Tuition fees
- Meals
- Accommodation
- Books
- Laptop
Each bursary recipient will receive one laptop for the entire duration of their studies, which becomes their property. However, the recipient is responsible for the maintenance, repairs, insurance, and software updates of the laptop.

Bursary Renewal and Selection: Bursaries are awarded for one academic year at a time and are renewable each year, subject to certain conditions, including maintaining a minimum overall average of 70%, attending continuous development workshops, and applying to the Cipla Graduate Program after graduation.
Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible for the Cipla Bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Be between 18 and 28 years old.
- Have completed Matric (Matriculation).
- Be studying towards a qualification in one of the specified fields.
- Have completed the first year of study.
- Be registered for your 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or later year of study in 2024.
- Honors and Masters students may be considered if they meet the criteria.
- PhD students may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Have passed all subjects or modules from the previous academic year.
- Study at a recognized and accredited public tertiary institution in South Africa.
- Have achieved a minimum overall average of 70% for the most recent year completed.
- Be willing to participate in vacation work during holidays.
- Be willing to apply to the Cipla Graduate Skills Program after graduation.
- Be highly motivated and fluent in English.
- Not be receiving any other bursary funding.

To apply for the Cipla Bursary, follow these steps:
Step 1: Complete the Cipla Bursary Screening form 2024
Step 2: Apply online for the Cipla Bursary Application 2024 using the reference number: 75756. Mention “StudentRoom” as the source of how you heard about the Cipla bursary.
Step 3: Submit clear copies of the following supporting documents with your online application. Ensure that documents are in PDF format and named with your name and surname followed by the document type (e.g., Name_Surname_ID_Document_CBP2023). The required documents include:
- Certified copy of your ID document.
- Certified copy of your Matric certificate.
- Most recent academic record/transcripts on the institution’s letterhead.
- Proof of registration on the institution’s letterhead.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) in PDF format, including your mobile number, residential address, and email address (1 page).
Make sure to provide all required documentation and follow the application instructions to avoid disqualification.
Successful candidates will be contacted by no later than 30 March 2024. If you do not receive any feedback by this date, consider your application as unsuccessful.
