CIPC: Internships 2019 in Pretoria

CIPC (a member of the dti) is offering x30 Internships Programme for the academic year 2019 in Pretoria. CIPC is committed to youth skills development by providing graduates with opportunities to gain work experience to complement their studies. The duration of this Internship is 24 months.  Interns will be placed in our Sunnyside Office (Pretoria). Succesfful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R25 000. 00 during their placement.

As contemplated by Cabinet in December 2002, Internship is a public service graduate work experience programme targeting unemployed graduates . It gives students workplace experience or an opportunity to practice the work skills that they have studied and will practice in the future.

Requirements

Applicants must be graduates and post graduates in any one of the fields specified below:

  • MSc degree in the sciences (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Environmental)
  • B. Engineering/ B.Tech (Mining, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Metallurgical, Textile) Honours, Masters is desirous;
  • B. Degree (Physics, Information Technology/ Computer Engineering, Computer Science) Honours, Masters is desirous.

Applicants must be between ages of 18 to 35 years old.

Successful applicants will be expected to sign an Internship Programme Agreement on SSE.

It will be expected of candidates to be available for selection interviews on a date, time and place as determined by CIPC. Background verification, including criminal record and citizenship checks, as well as a competency assessment will form part of the selection process. It is the applicants’ responsibility to have their foreign qualifications evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).
