University of South Africa (Unisa) is inviting South African unemployed youth to apply for its Internship Programme 2025.

The UNISA Internship Programme is now accepting applications for a wide range of positions across South Africa. This is an excellent opportunity for unemployed South African citizens who have completed a qualification equivalent to NQF level 6, 7, or higher through UNISA. Whether you studied Education, Information Technology, or another related field, there’s a spot for you!
Internship Programme Overview
The UNISA Internship Programme offers a 12-month paid internship with a stipend of R120,925.00 per annum. This initiative is designed to provide UNISA graduates with the opportunity to gain practical experience, develop professionally, and contribute to various projects and departments. The internship positions are available in multiple provinces across South Africa.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the internship programme, applicants must meet the following conditions:
- South African Citizenship: You must be a South African citizen.
- Qualification Requirements: Applicants must have completed an NQF level 6, 7, or higher qualification from UNISA in the relevant field (e.g., Bachelor of Education, PGCE, IT-related qualifications).
- No Formal Work Experience: Applicants should preferably have no formal work experience in their field of application.
- Age Restriction: Applicants must be 35 years or younger.
- Previous Internships: Those who have previously been appointed to an internship at UNISA or any other organization are not eligible to apply.
- Geographical Considerations: Ensure that you check the location of the internship site and are prepared to attend interviews if shortlisted.
