Bursaries are available for exceptional learners through RBIDZ\u2019s Study Assistance programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bursaries will be awarded to candidates interested in studying at a recognised university in one of the following disciplines (undergraduate only):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Accounting<\/li><li>Actuarial Science<\/li><li>Agricultural Economics and Extension (BSc Agriculture Economics, ND Agriculture Economics\/Extension, BSc Agriculture Engineering)<\/li><li>Agricultural &amp; Built Environment (B Architectural Studies, BSc Construction Studies, BSc Property Development, N Dip Architectural Technology, N Dip Town &amp; Regional Planning)<\/li><li>Chemical Engineering (BSc Eng or N Dip)<\/li><li>Civil Engineering (BSc Eng or N Dip)<\/li><li>Mechanical Engineering (BSc Eng or N Dip)<\/li><li>Economics &amp; Finance (B Com Economics, B Com Accounting, N Dip Internal Auditing, N Dip Business Management)<\/li><li>Electrical Engineering (BSc Eng or N Dip)<\/li><li>Electronics Engineering (BSc Eng or N Dip)<\/li><li>Information Technology (B Com Information Management Systems, BSc Computer Science, N Dip Information Technology)<\/li><li>Marine Engineering (N Dip)<\/li><li>Mechatronics Engineering<\/li><li>Metallurgical Engineering (BSc Eng Metallurgy and Materials)<\/li><li>Geographic Information System (GIS) (BSc. Land Surveying or BSc Quantity Surveying)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Successful candidates will be selected based on 2 main criteria: academic merit and financial need. Students may also be selected for an assessment programme, depending on their performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The candidates acceptance into the bursary programme will be determined by the success of their interview; the bursary is also renewable annually based on the recipients conduct and academic performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by 30 June 2021 at the latest \u2013 if you do not receive any feedback by this date, please consider your application unsuccessful.<br>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>You must be a South African citizen<\/li><li>You must reside within the King Cetshwayo District, KwaZulu-Natal<\/li><li>You must have completed Matric<\/li><li>You must be accepted to study at a University or University of Technology in South Africa<\/li><li>You must be accepted to study full-time within one of the aforementioned fields of study<\/li><li>You must have achieved a <em>minimum<\/em> of level 5 for English in Matric<\/li><li>You must have achieved a <em>minimum<\/em> of level 5 for Mathematics (Core) in Matric<\/li><li>You must have achieved a <em>minimum<\/em> of level 5 for Life Science in Matric<\/li><li>You must have achieved a <em>minimum<\/em> of level 5 for Physical Science in Matric<\/li><li>You must have achieved a <em>minimum<\/em> of level 5 for Accounting in Matric<\/li><li>You must have achieved a <em>minimum<\/em> of level 5 for Economics in Matric<\/li><li>You must be from a from previously disadvantaged background<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to apply<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Download and complete the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rbidz.co.za\/index.php\/careers\/bursaries\/rbidz-bursary-application-form-may-2021\/download\">RBIDZ Bursary Application Form<\/a><\/strong> (.pdf)<br>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation (the submission of these documents is compulsory \u2013 if any items are missing, your application may be disqualified):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>ID document (certified copy)<\/li><li>Matric certificate (certified copy)<\/li><li>Acceptance letter from a University or University of Technology (on tertiary letterhead)<\/li><li>Parents\/ guardians proof of income (3 months payslips if employed, affidavit if unemployment, SASSA grant income or pension if applicable)<\/li><li>Reference letter from a teacher or community leader<\/li><li>Motivational letter stating why you want to study at your selected University or University of Technology, what you intend on studying and your career aspirations<\/li><li>Proof of residence in King Cetshwayo District<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Please note: documents must be certified by commissioner of oaths, within the last 3 months.<\/em><br>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications must be submitted in one of the following ways:<br>1) Email: <strong><a href=\"mailto: thandazile.nene@rbidz.co.za\">thandazile.nene@rbidz.co.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2) Postal: Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone Company, Private Bag X1005, Richards Bay, 3900<br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bursary Provider: Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone (RBIDZ) Academic Year: 2021 \/ 2022 Type: Undergraduate bursary Closing Date: 31 May 2021 Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone (RBIDZ) Bursary towards further studies in 2021 \/ 2022 for students.
