Berry Astrapak is inviting South African unemployed youth to apply for Apprenticeship Programme 2025.

Astrapak, now part of Berry Global, is offering exciting Engineering Apprenticeship opportunities for ambitious, inquisitive, and driven individuals. This apprenticeship programme aims to develop practical skills in various engineering trades, offering hands-on experience in a company setting, alongside technical theory classes.
Available Trades:
- Electrician
- Fitting
- Millwright
- Tool Making
- Draughtsman
Eligibility Criteria:
To be considered for the Astrapak Engineering Apprenticeship, you must meet the following requirements:
- Matric Certificate (or equivalent qualification) with key subjects:
- Pure Mathematics
- Physical Science
- N2 Qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- People with Disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
The programme is ideal for individuals eager to learn and grow within the engineering industry.
Apprenticeship Structure:
- On-the-Job Training: Successful candidates will be placed in the Maintenance Department for hands-on training.
- Technical Theory Classes: Apprentices will attend Technical Theory blocks (TT blocks) at a selected Technical College, focusing on enhancing Electrical and/or Mechanical knowledge.
- Trade Test: At the end of the apprenticeship, apprentices will take a Trade Test and, upon successful completion, qualify as an Artisan.
