Position Overview

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing a team of up to eight insurance representatives. Your primary goal will be to drive the team towards achieving sales targets while ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation. This role offers a dynamic environment where you can leverage your leadership skills to make a significant impact on the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruitment: Identify and recruit up to eight high-quality insurance representatives to meet business requirements.
• Training and Development: Ensure that newly appointed representatives receive comprehensive training and ongoing support.
• Team Management: Optimize the performance of the insurance representatives, providing guidance and motivation to achieve set sales targets.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Monitor and ensure compliance with FAIS, FICA, LTIA, and other relevant regulations. Manage risk effectively to safeguard the business.
• Market Expansion: Develop and expand market opportunities to enhance business growth and performance.

Requirements

• Education: Grade 12 qualification is essential.
• Industry Qualification: A suitable industry entry qualification as per the Financial Services Board’s requirements. All appointees from 2010 onwards must have a full FAIS-recognized qualification.
• FAIS Compliance: Comply with FAIS legislation to be registered as Fit and Proper individuals.
• Experience: Proven success in marketing life assurance products for at least three years.
• Certificates: RE5 certificate is required; RE1 certificate is advantageous.
• Background Checks: Clear ITC and criminal records are mandatory.
• Transport: Valid driver’s license, own reliable transport, and a cell phone are required.
