About the Ardagh Glass Apprenticeship Programme
Ardagh Glass aims to enhance the capacity of critical and scarce artisan skills within the organisation while equipping young South Africans with hands-on experience in their respective fields of study. This 36-month fixed-term apprenticeship provides structured training, both in the workplace and at accredited training centres.
Roles and Responsibilities
As an apprentice, you will:
- Enter into a 36-month fixed-term workplace experiential training contract.
- Attend accredited training sessions as per the training schedule.
- Comply with workplace conditions and requirements outlined in the contract.
- Perform work relevant to your trade and training programme.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Possess one of the following qualifications:
- N2-N6 with four subjects, including relevant trade theory.
- Technical Matric with Mathematics, Science, and relevant trade theory.
- NCV Level 4 Engineering Certificate with seven subjects, including relevant trade theory.
- Willingness to work shifts.
Added Advantages:
- Basic computer literacy.
- Driver’s Licence (Code EB).
- Relevant work experience.
