1 YEAR INTERNSHIP IN CLIMATE CHANGE AND NATURAL CAPITAL
Anchor Environment has an internship opening for a talented and enthusiastic South African candidate from a historically disadvantaged background with a suitable postgraduate university degree, who can assist with project research, starting October 2020. The internship will focus on climate change adaptation plans for South African biomes and the biodiversity sector response strategy as well as being exposed to other research areas relating to the conservation and sustainable use of natural resources and ecological infrastructure. A background in multidisciplinary and / or climate change studies will be an advantage. The intern will be exposed to a range of activities. including data collection and research, report writing. project management. preparing presentations and attending meetings and workshops.
Minimum qualifications include.
- Suitable postgraduate university degree in environmental studies, economics, social science or equivalent,
- God language skills English and proven writing skills;
- Basic computer literacy with MS Office packages;
- Some background in mathematics and/or statistics, and use of statistical programming software such as R; and
- A valid driver’s license
