Duties and Responsibilities of Interns:
- Participate in planning and coordinating field trips.
- Conduct veld condition assessments in various South African biomes.
- Data capturing.
- Assist in technology transfer through reports and presentations.
- Provide technical input within research projects.
- Ensure effective resource utilization.
- Maintain facilities, apparatus, and equipment according to safety policies.
Requirements:
- A PhD/MSc/BSc/National Diploma in Botany, Plant Ecology, Agriculture, or related fields.
- Intent to register for an MSc or PhD to work on long-term veld monitoring.
- Knowledge of maintaining research equipment and infrastructure.
- Understanding of basic research principles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
