Job Summary: The role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk management frameworks related to deceased estate administration. Managing and understanding risks associated with the role is a key aspect.
Responsibilities:
- Receive completed deceased estate reporting documents and make contact with clients.
- Manage manual intake of estates.
- Report deceased estates to relevant stakeholders and obtain necessary documentation (e.g., Letters of Executorship, certificates, evaluations, etc.).
- Advertise the deceased estate to debtors/creditors and obtain required information from stakeholders.
- Draft the liquidation and distribution account, submit tax returns to SARS, and manage assets and liabilities.
- Advertise the liquidation and distribution account and lodge it with the Master of the High Court for approvals.
- Instruct panel attorneys for property transfers and ensure completion.
- Obtain final tax assessment from SARS and finalize the estate by making necessary payments.
- Achieve set targets related to executor’s fees within company norms.
- Ensure timely handling of incoming mail, filing, and reporting any irregularities to management.
Education and Experience Required:
- NQF Level 6 qualification
- BCom Law or LLB (Essential)
