Joburg Market Is Hiring! Apply for EPWP Positions with R5000 Stipend

Joburg Market is inviting South African citizens who are unemployed and residing within the City of Johannesburg to apply for the EPWP (Expanded Public Works Programme) for a 12-month period. The positions available offer a stipend of R5000.00 per month.

Available Positions:

1. Marketing Assistant
   • Requirements: Grade 12 Certificate
   • Duties: Assist with various marketing administrative tasks, marketing platforms, and handling marketing branding equipment.
2. HR / Human Resources
   • Requirements: Grade 12 Certificate
   • Duties: Assist with HR administrative functions and filing of HR documents.
3. Property
   • Requirements: Grade 12 Certificate
   • Duties: Assist with property-related functions.
4. Maintenance Assistants
   • Requirements: Grade 12 Certificate
   • Duties: Stop and check delivery trucks, verify delivery notes, and direct trucks when necessary.
5. Food Bank Assistants
   • Requirements: Grade 10
   • Duties: Assist in packaging fresh produce and general cleaning.
6. General Worker
   • Requirements: Grade 10
   • Duties: Clean platforms, compactor, rocker bins, floors, and other JM surface areas. Ensure waste bins are manned according to health and safety standards.
7. General Office Cleaners
   • Requirements: Grade 10
   • Duties: Sweep, mop, dust, polish, and clean offices, kitchen, floors, stairs, and bathrooms. Replenish bathroom and kitchen supplies.
8. Platform Wardens (Security)
   • Requirements: Grade 12 Certificate
   • Duties: Perform routine security and safety patrols, control pedestrian and vehicle access to the premises, and enforce Joburg Market Bylaws.
9. Consignment Gate Controllers
   • Requirements: Grade 12 Certificate
   • Duties: Perform maintenance tasks such as unblocking toilets, sewer lines, taps, pipes, cleaning drains, installing lights, fixing plugs, relocating plugs, painting, changing locks, and general repairs.

• Stipend: R5000.00 per month

• Preference: Preference will be given to applicants who have never participated in an EPWP programme before.
