The University of the Free State (UFS) is seeking to fill 90 positions for Assistant Officer: Registration Assistants on a contract basis for 6 weeks.

Position Details
- Job Title: Assistant Officer: Registration Assistants (Post Level 13)
- Contract Duration: 6 weeks, 40 hours per week
- Salary: Fixed amount of R10,839.25 per month
- Assumption of Duties: 02 January 2025
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional and friendly customer service via email, face-to-face, and telephone.
- Assist students with registration guidance and necessary documentation.
- Respond to queries using the Chatbot and maintain consistency with the library of FAQs.
- Escalate non-standard queries to the appropriate team leader.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Quality assurance of documents before processing.
- Communicate progress and feedback to students regarding their requests.
Inherent Job Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 or NQF Level 4.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months in a customer service or contact centre environment. Applicants must not be students.
Recommended Qualifications
- A post-school qualification.
- At least 2 years of administrative work experience.
