City of Johannesburg Municipality invites South African unemployed graduates to apply for Internship Programme 2024 / 2025.

The City of Johannesburg (CoJ) is offering Internship opportunities to suitably qualified and unemployed graduates. The Interships will run for a a period NOT exceeding eighteen (18) months.
Interns will be required to sign an internship agreement, in additional to an employment contract, committing themselves to full participation in the educational and workplace assignments in accordance with laid-down policies and procedures.
Stipend: R9 531,54 pm (Basic Salary, no benefits)
Duration: 18 months contract

Duties: Provide customers with accurate information about products and services offered by the company and maintain records of customer interactions. Provide high quality and professional query resolution that ensures customers satisfaction. Manage customer complaints in line with applicable standard operating procedures. Build and improve relationships with customers to enhance loyalty, communication internal and external functioning of Rea Vaya, resulting in increase profitability. Executing effecting stakeholders relations management in line with applicable policies and standard operating procedures. Ensure timeous and accurate reporting of customer care related activities;

Duties: Contribute towards the producing/undertaking of quality research and research reports in the Directorate. Assist with policy development processes in the Directorate. Support the coordination of forums, stakeholder engagements and public participation processes. Assist with administrative duties to ensure effective administrative support for the smooth operations within the Directorate.
Skills and Competencies: Computer literacy, including MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Language literacy (reading and writing) in English. Knowledge of the public service sector. Internship: Public Housing Programme Service Delivery

Currently pursuing or recently completed a Degree in:
- National Diploma in Built Environment (NQF 6)
- or Bachelor’s degree in Built Environment (NQF level 7)
- NB. candidate needs in-service training towards completion of studies
Duties: Assist in the coordination of procedural requirements associated with the delivery of human settlement. Project facilitation and management. Provide administrative support in relation to the unit. Assist in project management and facilitation and analysis of data and provide input for changes in policy and guidelines. Assisting in the interpretation and implementation of Human Settlement policies, legislation and acts.

Duties: To ensure that budget preparations and allocation of resources is in aligned to CoJ priorities, Housing business plans are prepared and in accordance to MFMA and related Regulations. To maximize revenue collection and minimize accumulated debtors’ accounts in arrears in order so that the Department can have adequate resources to maintain the rental units. To safeguard the Assets of the City of Johannesburg in accordance with MFMA and related GRAP standards. To participate in the procurement process for service delivery in compliance to MFMA, Treasury Regulations and CoJ-approved SCM policy. Assist in achieving effective and efficient expenditure management in compliance to MFMA and CoJ policies and reducing or illuminating unauthorized, irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure. Assist in complying with CoJ year-end processes in quest of obtaining a clean audit.

Internship: Media, Public Relations and Channel Marketing Specialist

Duties: Plan, develop, implement, track and manage. Media, public relations and channel marketing campaigns across all the media channels. Create and maintain a favourable brand image of Group Finance and the City’s services and its products. Manage the Department’s and Joburg brand and raise awareness of the city’s priorities, programmes and projects. Build relationships and respond to media questions/queries of print and online residents and customers in a timely, accurate and honest manner. Build relationships and work effectively with colleagues to disperse appropriate media, public relations and channel marketing communications content. Duties: Implement the Environmental Education and Awareness (EEA) Strategy and related policies through relevant stakeholder committees. Coordinate the rendering of corporate environmental education and capacity-building functions through the facilitation of environmental communications and provision of awareness support to the department. Facilitate the provision of community outreach and stakeholder engagement functions through managing external environmental education and awareness, as well as education programmes planning and reviews. Contribute to business planning and reporting activities of the sub-unit. Comply with the Performance Management Strategies of the City.
