Job Summary / Purpose
This internship aims to provide practical training through a structured 24-month program in the field of Health & Safety. This opportunity will offer the learner exposure to the working world while earning regulated benefits as per the discretionary grant funding policy of the MQA, including an all-inclusive stipend and basic medical aid cover.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to all company health & safety practices and procedures.
- Adhere to task-related SOPs & checklists at all times.
- Assist the line manager with major and minor projects as detailed in objectives.
- Compile daily, weekly, and monthly reports as stipulated by the line manager.
- Participate in metallurgical continuous innovation projects.
- Engage in metallurgical accounting from ROM to final product.
- Focus areas include but are not limited to: interpretation of results, leading teams (shifts).
Job Specifications / Requirements
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Metallurgy Engineering.
- Skills: Basic competency in Excel, Word, & PowerPoint.
- Experience: No previous internship contract/experience.
- Employment Status: Must be unemployed.
- Age Group: Must fall within the South African Youth group.
- Demographics: Historically disadvantaged South African.
- Accommodation: Must have your own accommodation.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written English communication.
- Other Skills: Problem-solving, team player.
