POSTS: SEASONAL LIFEGUARDS X25 – BEACHES
- Task Grade: 6A
- Salary: R21,131 per month
REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 10
- Surf Proficiency award certificate
- Must be physically fit
- One (1) year’s lifesaving experience
- Valid retest certificate
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Rescues drowning persons
- Patrols City beaches by checking local conditions of beaches
- Renders first aid to the injured by dealing with necessary injuries
- Operates rescue equipment, including inflatable boat
- Monitors and enforces compliance with pools and public safety by-laws
- Ensures temperature readings of the pool are taken
