The Rheinmetall Denel Munition Internship 2024 is a 12-month program that will expose you to the operations and functions of the company. You will work under the guidance and supervision of experienced mentors and managers, and you will have the opportunity to participate in real projects and tasks. You will also receive a competitive stipend and other benefits during the internship.

1. Sales

Qualifications: 

• NQF 7 in Marketing, Business Management and/or related field of study
• Knowledge about the Security, Defence & Technology industry would be advantageous
• Ability to work in high pressure environments with clear deadlines
• Hardworking and energetic personality
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Fully computer literate and skilled with all MS office packages
• Ability to travel Regionally, Nationally and Internationally
• Valid Driver’s license

2. Procurement 

Qualifications: 

• Minimum Qualification: B Com / B Tech / Advanced Diploma in Procurement / Logistics / Supply Chain;
• Valid Driver’s License;
• Computer Literacy (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint) is a must;
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English;
• Broad Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing environment will be advantage;
• Experience in working with SAP ERP system will be advantage;
• Good interpersonal and negotiation skills;
• Good problem solving and analytical skills;
• Good planning and organizational skills – time management; and
• Proven ability to take responsibility and high level of integrity.

3. Logistics 

Qualifications: 

• National Diploma in Logistics Management/Transportation/Operations Management.
• BCom or BTech in Logistics/Transportation/ Operations Management; BCom Supply Chain Management and/or BTech Industrial Engineering will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge and understanding of regulations and standards on all modes of transport (land, sea and air).
• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of route planning.
• Knowledge, understanding and transactional exposure of ERP system (preferably SAP) will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of processes, administration, procedures, quality, production, products, maintenance and safety requirements.
• Knowledge and understanding of lean manufacturing.
