SASAS Bursary for Postgraduate Studies in Animal Science/Animal Production 2024
The South African Society for Animal Science (SASAS) is offering bursaries for postgraduate studies in Animal Science/Animal Production. If you have a passion for advancing your knowledge in this field, this opportunity is for you.
Bursary Details:
- Study Level: Postgraduate (Honours or Masters)
- Field of Study: Animal Science/Animal Production
- Value: Determined by the council, paid in 2 instalments (SASAS membership must be valid)
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):
- You may be of any nationality
- You must have completed one of the following qualifications: BSc (Agric.) in Animal Science or Animal Production or an Advanced Diploma in Animal Production (NQF8)
- You must have graduated from a recognised and accredited University or University of Technology in South Africa
- You must be a member of the South African Society for Animal Science (SASAS) (apply here to become a member)
- You must be registered to study towards an Honours or Masters degree in Animal Science / Animal Production at a University OR a MTech or DTech at a University of Technology
- You must have an exceptional academic record (cum laude)
- You must be able to complete your Honours degree or MTech within 2 years or a Masters degree or DTech within 3 years
- You must read and agree to the SASAS Bursary Rules 2024 (.pdf)
Application Process:
- Download and complete the SASAS Bursary Application Form 2024 (.pdf)
- Submit clear copies of the following documents with your completed application form:
- Graduation certificate for completed degrees (certified copy)
- Official statement of subjects and symbols completed (undergraduate and postgraduate, certified copy)
- Recommendation by study leader
